I don't know much about the LPE cam but I have had the crane 227. I daily drove that cam for a year with not problems. I wouldnt hesitate to put it in another car.

I had that Crane cam for about 40k miles and was very impressed with the results. Its a great cam for a driver.

The 219/219 was designed for use with the Superram originally, but should work well...I would suggest the 211/219 which is what I used for 10 years before going to a custom grind...The 211/219 is .533/.560" on a 112 and is very nice with a slight chop and great idle and works great to 6000 rpm...

i didnt know the lift was that high on that cam, thats nice. it seems like a nice blend of everything, with a little more intake lift than say the crane 227.

lift is good for hp but its not everything. Duration, lsa, etc. play a lot more.

so the crane 227 with the bigger exhaust duration might be better in that regard?

I would think that a little longer duration on the exhaust side would beneficial especially with stock heads.

I just went from a CC503 to a CC304. It has a very thick powerband from 1200 all the way to 6000. There is no lope to the idle and it idles with 15" of vacuum. No more cam surge between 1700 and 2200 at light throttle.

I went from the GM LT4 Hot Cam to the LPE 211/219. The LPE 211/219 is a great daily driver cam. In my car, the LPE has more low end grunt than the Hot Cam did. Also, the power is smoother from 1200-6000rpm. The Hot Cam was flat until about 3000rpm then pulled hard to 6000.
