Angry Courtesey door chime

Does anyone know how to disable this godforsaken thing. It annoys the crap out of me. I like having my drivers side door open when im doing stuff with the car and having the music on. But the stupid door chime annoys me to no end. Any solutions?

Yea there is a way to disable it. When I bought my car I thought the door chime was broken but it was just disconnected. I'll go out and look a little later to see which connecter is unhooked. Its under the steering column somewhere near the master cylinder.

Yep, but it's not for the faint of heart. The chime on 96 and up F-cars is IN the Body Control Module. It's a piezo-electric transducer soldered to the circuit board in the BCM. I dug my module out, opened it up and unsoldered the little dinger from the board, put it all back together and held my breath while I started and ran the car, and everything was fine.
This isn't something I would recommend unless you're comfortable with soldering on circuit boards, and not something you would do with one of those huge pistol-type soldering irons that you used to solder up that hole in your radiator, you need a small, low-powered iron or ideally a desoldering tool that won't destroy the rest of the PCB.
And the guy who said it was under the sterring column, that was on the earlier cars (93-95 I believe)
