The stock airbox to MAF connector I left stock as it is not a restriction. The MAF to TB is 3" diameter by 4" long. Throw it in some boiling water to loosen it up before trying to install it.

If your car is a daily driver, just try shaving about 1/2" off the bottom of the front baffle and maybe 1/4" off the top of the rear baffle. I took out the front baffle all together, but the first time I ran it through the car wash the MAF went crazy.

Well... it depends on what MAF you are running, but for a factory MAF the only replacement for the MAF to Airbox is the factory one.

The Fernco part is thick, probably 1/4" or 3/8" but it works quite well.

On my car you can see how it goes together on my website (Little red button on bottom of this post, pg 5). I'm running a Z06 MAF which had a larger inlet diameter so I have to run a cut-down Fernco coupler between it and the Airbox, but that's only due to the diameter diference between the Factory and Z06 MAFs.

I totally removed the Middle/Front baffle, and am only running the rear one. When I looked at how the airbox seals, I see no reason to remove much if any of the rear baffle, but I'm also running the seal glued to my hood, not glued to the airbox.

Any more questions?

Yep... thus the boiling hot water trick! After the first time, the next time you take it off/put it back on, it will be much easier.

Boil it. Then take a butter knife and use it to guide the rubber onto the intake. That's what I did.

Don't mean to jump in the post here, but I was wondering something about the LT1 WS6 Ram-Air setup. Is it a problem driving in heavy rain in those? It looks like you have direct scoop-to-filter-to-intake on those and always wondered if there is any type of water drain on those to prevent sucking in the water. Have always wondered that.

There is still somewhat of a maze for the air to travel through, and yes there are drains on either side...

Havent had a problem with mine yet.

That's why there's baffles in the hood portion of the intake. A lot of guys cut those baffles out (note to self--put that on project list) and don't have a problem.

I'm actually using the one off my stock air box (I have an SLP hood and a GM air box). You might try and see if you can get it from someone who when with a CAI.

With a factory MAF you HAVE to run the GM coupler, the MAF actually sits INSIDE the outlet of the airbox, that grommet/coupler is what seals it together.
