Question Could a gear change cause this?

I have a 94 z-28 A4 when I get to about 5200 RPM's my car don't seem to have any power left. But, it don't shift until 5800. Could this be caused by changing the gears from 2:73 to 3:23? Does a gear change throw off the shift points? Please Help!

did you get it programmed yet? Because if you dont, your shiftpoints will be all jacked up, and so will ur speedo.

I went to from 2.73 - 3.73. and I just had a shop program just the 3.73's . And when I went to the track I still hit limiter right before 3rd. So they need to be re programmed.

That would have been my next question. Can you change shift points? I use to try to shift the car around 5200 RPM's when racing but it keeps climbing up to 5800. Past the point where is has power.
