Corvette starter in F-body?

My starter died, and Ive got a low mile used one from ebay on the way. The seller told me the vette starter will fit my f-body LT1 with no problems, but Ive been told that I will need to use starter bolts from a vette motor to make it work right. Is this true, or can I just reuse my stock bolts?

Im really not happy at ther thpought of going to a dealership for vette starter bolts, as I cant really think of any place else I would get them.

Just order an LT4 starter from Jason Cromer for abotu $150. GM p/n 10455709. GMpartsdirect.com is the same price but they charge $30 for shipping and it ends up being$183.xx or something like that so give Jason a call. LT4 starters are smaller, have more starting torque, dont come remanufactured, are cheaper than the LT1 and fit without modifications like all other LTx starters.

By the way, the Vette starter is the same as the F-body. I'm sure the Impy isnt any different. Remember to use the shims that were already there with your stock starter if applicable. Some cars came with shims, if you dont have any than disregard this.

Not sure about the difference, but its a common threaded bolt that you should be able to find at most auto parts stores in different lengths.

I understand about saving money. I live just south of Joy Road between Tele and Beech Daly. I have a ton of friends that live over by your cousin, I graduated from Crestwood about 5 months ago.
