Does anybody know what the correct spark plug gap for the LT1 is? and would any of you suggest using dielectric grease on plug- boot and opti-boot connections.

 

NGK TR55IX's is what ill be putting in

 

Dont gap iridium! (I assume IX means Iridium)... Otherwise .045-.05

 

yeah they are iridium. why dont you gap iridium?

 

most plugs come pre gapped

at least the ones I have used do

 

Take a "Q" tip and put die electric in the boot.
IMO the exotic metal plugs have a problem with the caps of exotic metal poping off,that's why I don't use them.
I gap my plugs at .035,that's with regular plugs,'cause it takes a big load off of the opti.

 

Stock gap is .050" and printed on the label on the radiator cover. You should always check the gap even on pre-gapped plugs.
