April 07: WP blew/replaced and replaced cap (temps were high but never in the red). July 07: WP leaking/replaced and replaced w/160 stat. (again, temps were high but never in the red) Sept 07: WP blew/replaced (dunno why, it just gave way). NOW Radiator leaking at the seal about half way down below the cap and WP is leaking again and it seems that there’s a pin hole leak out of one of the hoses from the WP (temps low 160-180, even though everything is leaking). Each time the WP has been replaced everything seems fine, except for the temps running a little on the high side no leaks/problems but shortly after (and getting shorter time-wise) I have WP problems again. This time it seems as if many things have gone: radiator leaks, WP leaks, hose has pin hole…but the weird thing is that it seems to run cooler than ever!

The radiator is only 3 years old and uses Dexcool. All of the WP’s have been Delco WP’s and I’ve also become pretty good at bleeding all of the air out of the system after everything’s replaced. No smoke, fans work fine, no codes (sensor on Radiator is unplugged).

Before I begin to replace the radiator/WP(again)/hoses, I’m wondering if there’s more to this than just what meets the eye? Meaning…are all of these problems I’ve been having the cause of something else? (Head gasket, clogs in the cooling system, etc…??) The car runs very strong, I’m just having a heck of a time with all of these cooling system issues.
