Re: Cooling system help needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

thanks all, well i spent about close to 8 hours under my car today because it wouldnt start. come to find it was a corroded battery connection, i ended up removing the battery, alternator and belt and had them tested (brand new alt. too..4 days old!!). thats ok tho, i changed the belt, the coolant, a few hoses, changed the oil, cleaned some stuff up, changed the coolant level sensor which was bad (50 effin dollars!!), and a K&N air filter.

car is a 95, AC has no refrigerant which is why it dont work.

glad you got your cooling issue worked out. I had one not too far back, when i removed the intake elbow to put in my 160 thermostat the damn silencer tube broke the connector on my coolant temp sensor. It made the car really hard to start. So word of warning, be careful removing the intake elbow hehe. (I went to one of the 1LE elbows without the silencer tube)

Unplugging it, causes the light to go out. It's only a good light to have if you're too lazy to check your radiator every now and then. LS1's dont even have them.

Why did the sensor cause the car to be hard to start?? My car has started right up as long as I've had it, but after I installed my single 3" bullet muffler it has been acting up. And I did have the elbow off the car for a while. I'll have to check that.
