Lightbulb Cooling system concerns please advise

Just wondering if the cooling system needs upgrades going from stock to 383 putting out guestimate of 460 hp at the crank. I do have the fan control switch already as i either had some kind temp sensor issue and my fans didnt like to always turn on plus they are nice at the track or stop n go traffic. I almost convinced myself to go electric water pump for the cooling at idle and low rpm but then I seen figures of what they pump when in a closed system and dang that was the 55 meziere(way under stock pump capacities). Huge difference. Im kinda into the road race as well as drag as well as daily driver so im moving away from the electric as of now even though the low rpm is flowing more and I really like that idea. So what are the cooling upgrades out there that are cost effective, or needed ,or is the stock set-up satisfactory. the car is 6speed firebird ws-6. Cheap long term solutions are best but also things I could work into when the money becomes available as its going to take more than I have to finish getting the boltons and tune and other items needed for the longblock just paid for. I will be buying a new water pump so recomendations there as well as I had planned to go back with factory type unit as they last and do a good job unless a higher flow or better unit may be available and solve any cooling concerns and keep stock radiator(given it checks out). Thanks in advance

I would wire the fan switch so that the pcm can still turn them on even if you forget to, some carefully thought out diodes should do the trick.

460 is really weak for a stroker so it should be easy to keep cool without any extraordinary measures, most heads/cam setups make more than that. A properly functioning stock system should do the trick, maybe do a 160 stat, 180 is stock.

Thanks Dwayne, I am pretty sure the fan setup allowed stock controll as well as the manual activation, its been a year and half since car has been down but will be sure to check. Of course I hope for more power than that but am realistic. Will pretty much be cc503 cam, 1.6 rr ,stock ported heads(rated at 30 hp gain), lt headers, fuel pump upgrade, 58mm tb,36#injectors, mail order tune wt datalogging, probably true dual 3'" exhaust, forged rotating assembly,
ltcc with ls7 coils, and its ram air being the ws-6, and a 150-200 shot of n2o above expected #.
