cooling problems

i have an s-10 that i just put an lt1 in and finally running. i was wondering, what could i use for cooling this thing down? i have a stock radiator for an s-10 but has been recored and a set of ls1 fans that i had to wire up in reverse becuse of room issues. do i need a bigger radiator and a fan or fans that push more air through or what. i have about 50 miles on it and already have to change head gaskets. i dont have any heater lines hooked up. thanks. matt

Re: cooling problems

Are you running "just" the LS1 fans or the whole plastic assymbly that the fans mount to?

Re: cooling problems

It could also be cause you are blocking a large portion of your radiator with the fan housing. On the f-bodys air still flows though all the radiater core. The plastic housing is about 1.5 inches away from the rad and air can flow completely through the radiator then out the fans. With your truck it hits all that plastic and never goes though the radiator itself only the small area that the fans are open. You should try removing the fans from the plastic housing and making a mount out of 1" metal strips. Just a though. Hope it helps.
