who does single plane EFI intakes

i'm kinda kicking around the idea of running a single plane efi setup instead of the lt4 intake.
something along the lines of a victor jr.
if someone has a link to a site/company that will plum the EFI lines into one of these intakes, i'd really apreciate it

I dont know what your goals are really or what you want but alot of people go with the Super Vic instead of Vic Jr. now days. It much easier to work with, less porting.
Get with Bret Bauer "SStrokerace" he builds these custom set-ups for a great price.
Do some searching on single planes set-ups and you can find alot on here.

Re: who does single plane EFI intakes

he's the one that will be grinding my cam, so i might just have to throw some more work his way.
as far as my goals are...i'm shooting for some high 10's on motor....GREAT set of AFR heads on top of a forged 355.
car is very light, so i think with the right parts being put together....it can be done

Bret Bauer did the conversion on my manifold. I also converted the fuel system to -6AN stainless braided and I am running a modified Wilson 90mm 100 degree elbow with a wilson 90mm throttle body.

What kind of gains can be had from this setup. Will it fit under the cowl? (LT1)

TQdrivenWS6 will be the guy to show you what gains can be had out of that. I also have a customer with a 355 I just finished that has some LE3 heads on it and he is going to run a LT1 intake for a while and then do the single plane later on so that should give a good comparison to most guys. By then it should be more of a bolt on deal rather than as much fab work as it is now.

I should have it on the dyno for tuning within the next couple weeks, then off to the track. The only change was the ported intake and old LE2 cam to the new Super Vic and BRE (LE2 or LE3?) cam. I will have the before/after numbers along with graphs to compare as soon as I get back from the dyno. The old combo did 413rwhp / 390 rwtq through a heavy 3.5" d/s and a solid 35 spline/detroit locker/Moser 9" T-56 setup.

Re: who does single plane EFI intakes

Bret...any ideas how much a single-plane (Spyder!) will give over the ported LT1 intake you did for me? No, I don't want to switch, just wondering on the same longblock, what kind of difference we'd see...

Re: who does single plane EFI intakes

With a cam change to match the new intake on ported stock castings and a 383, he seems to think 35-40rwhp at peak, but large gains from 3500+

Re: who does single plane EFI intakes

Quick question for clarity -- Bret feel free to chime in....

Are the LE3 cams designed only for the LT1/4 manifolds? Any difference for a ported LT1/4 manifold?

Reason being I am very interested in making the conversion to the single plane once the LE3/355 is in...so my real question is, does the LE3 cam need to be changed to something else if going to the single plane intake? If so, any suggestions, and what would be the biggest difference in specs?

Thanks in advance...

Re: who does single plane EFI intakes

The cam is different from an LTx style intake to a single plane primarily due to the runner length and shape difference. I have no idea what specifically needs to be changed, so I paid a professional to get it right the first time.
