cooling fans.

ok so my cooling fans haven't really been working that i know of which wasn't a problem until after i did a motor swap cause the old motor never really got hot. i took the motor i put in it out of another car which i know was running fine. it runs unusually hot like above 210 nearing the red. i know this is probably more than one problem. but its got a new waterpump which i had reused off the original motor in the car so i know it worked. just replaced the thermostat and no change. radiator is like a year old.. i flushed the heater core which made a difference in the amount of heat coming outnot a major difference but it hasn't increased at all with the raised temps that it is showing. i checked the cooling fan relays, fuses, wiring. even swapped relays around..

Have you tried hooking up the fans direct from the battery to see if the motor even turns?

210° isn't hot. The fans don't even come on until 226°.

maybe you have some air in the cooling system?, did you bleed it from both bleed screws? the coolant temp in the side of the drivers side head could maybe be broken?, damaged wire maybe?

Cooling fans

One of the fans will run constantly if the A/C compressor is running. Funny thing about the wiring on these LT1s. If you run the compressor, you have the first of two fans on.

Depends on the year.... early models had Fan #1 and Fan #2, later models had both fans on low, or both fans on high.
