Coolent - Wheres it going??

Hey,
We finally got my car back together and the motor back together but now the anifreeze keeps disappearing. Every time u drive a few miles the low coolent light comes on so we fill it back up then it disappears again. As far as we can tell none has been leaking onto the ground under the car so where in the world is it going.
Any help is greatly apprieciated.
Cory

What kind of work did you have done to the car.Check for steam coming out the tail pipe.Put your hand in front of it.It will taste sweet, and you can smell it.That would be a leaky head gasket. If thats the case,DONT ddrive it.Get it fixed!

Does he have an electric WP? If so it prolly pumps alot into the overflow. At least this is what mine does. It pumps much faster so it blows it up to the overflow hole. I just keep my eye on it, every week or so.

The exhaust is a good guess and if it is burning the coolant then you do have a blown head gasket. Also, besides the sweet smell you'll probably have some white smoke coming out.

Say, did you bleed the coolant system? Check simple things first...

Good luck tracking down the problem

Id think they bled the coolent system.. Im relaying this message back and forth to dad to tell him the ideas. They took apart everything in the engine so....he says he thinks that its just getting the coolant system full...we've only had it back together and running for a few days now and only been driving it a day so maybe its just not full yet...i dunno

It doesn't take that long to fill up, its definately going somewhere. Let it run and WATCH for drips, its that easy.

If you dont see anything, check your oil pronto.

More than likely you have a blown head gasket or something i would stop driving the car and check the oil to see if its milky or dosnt look or feel right i had that problem when i check my oil everything looked fine accroding to everyone else and samew ith me except it was a tad bit runny, how ever when i drained the oil, i had about 2 gallons of anti freeze in there.... If you continue to run the car with a problem like that you might as well kiss your car good buy till you rebuild the entire motor.
