Coolant Temp Sensor
Coolant Temp Sensor
I have a couple of questions.
1.) What are the symptoms of a CTS going out?
2.) If I d/c the CTS from the water pump will the computer go into limp mode?
3.) What will the car do when it's cold/warm?

Are you talking about the sensor that is located on the neck of the radiator? Mine's needed replaced for a while since the low coolant light stays on constantly even though there is plenty of coolant. I didn't know that you needed to replace it though. I've just been ignoring the light. So, is this what would be causing my car to occasionally have trouble starting?
That sensor causes no problems for starting or anything. This sensor is a common problem on our cars. Just remove the battery from your car and pull the sensor from the black box below the radiator cap and try cleaning it first. If that does not work, you can replace it (it's cheap) or just leave it d/c. It won't hurt anything.
