coolant problems

coolant problems

when im driving my temp is perfect 160-180, buy when i turn off my car the coolant starts to go through my reservor. I have new thermostat and new radiator cap. Any ideas? thanks

As long as it runs cool when the motor is running, why worry about it when it is off?

You didn't mention anything about losing coolant. Are you leaking coolant?

Replace your radiator cap. When my car is running, I can take the cap off and it will be fine. After I shut the car off and the coolant is hot, if I remove that cap then antifreeze comes shooting out the overflow bottle.

Maybe yours leaks causing it to do that.
