anybody else have any other thoughts before I just go and replace the sensor? Dry as a bone under the car everywhere... no leaking whatsoever.

I kept losing coolant with the low coolant light coming on and couldn't find it under the car anywhere as well - after about two weeks of trying to locate a leak I found that the heater core had a leak and was weeping coolant under the carpet on the passenger floor - I never have passengers and realized the problem when the floor mat starting getting dark from the coolant pooling up under the carpeting. If you continue to lose coolant and can't locate it get a pressure tester and check all the connections (all 100 of them) and under the dash as well. Good luck!

Its probably just a bad sensor, its not uncommon for one to go bad.

Sorry, I saw in your original post that you said "Im just puzzled as to where this coolant is getting consumed?" I took that as your were losing coolant.

Take out the battery, but be sure you know your radio code if you have the OEM radio.
