coolant flush question

coolant flush question

So I'm replacing the radiator in my TA and I was going to do a coolant flush to make sure all the old crap is out of the block and what not. Is it possible to just flush out the block? I understand how it works when you have the radiator still in but I was trying to do it while the radiator was out to just flush out everything in the system. How would I go about doing this?

where are the drain plugs you speak of? and is that gonna be enough rather than flushing water through the block?

At the bottom of the block, on each side of the block, near the motor mounts, is a drain port. On the driver's side there is a pipe plug in the hole. On the passenger side, the knock sensor is screwed into the hole. You open those to drain the coolant that is in the bottom of the block. You could leave them open and flush everything out.

alright thanks. how would you suggest i flush it? (by that I mean "insert hose in blank") I dont want to ruin anything, like the opti.
