Thats all it would take to put gen I heads on an lt1? If its a few hundred bucks it sounds like its worth it as long as custom headers arent needed, $$$. What kind of brodix heads did you use, were they 23 degree heads? Also as long as it has the same exhaust location you could bolt up some aftermarket lt1 headers right?

You must have 23* Brodix. As I understand it, the angle of the intake port face is different on the lesser-degree heads (about a 5-10 degree difference) and you will not be able to use the LT1 intake without MAJOR cutting and welding. Those heads also have straighter ports, requireing offset lifters and rockers.

The intake issue is the major stopping point for most people. They don't want to have a custom one made or convert a genI intake to EFI. IMO, if you plan on taking your engine to the levels of power that these radical heads can provide, you may as well get a custom intake made to take full advantage of the heads. Yea it's $$$, but you gotta pay to play. Or you can just get an aftermarket genI block and build from there.

Mine are 23 degree Brodix -10 castings. I've only had to relocate the holes. With the other machining, they bolt up and fit OK.

The Track 1 heads have the exhaust ports and bolt holes in the same location as the LT1 heads. My understanding is that these don't flow as well as some of the others (-8, -10). The numbers given on the Brodix web site are flow numbers for the bare castings. My ported heads flow 302 at .500, 318 at .600.

Why not get a 15 degree head and intake that match and convert to a carb setup seems easier than keeping it efi and less expensive if you went that route?

Oh would you need custum headers with anything other than another set of 23 degree heads?

If I were to convert heads it would be a set of 200cc ProTop line heads and have a LT1 be able to bolt up to them. They are cheap, under $900 for a bare set and flow exceptionally well for just a bare casting and almost as good as ported LT1 heads.
