converter problem even after tuning

I sent my pcm to Bryan at PCMforless and he tuned out misfire detection for me, and my converter still will not lock. I've been trying to figure this problem out for 2 months now, with no luck. Heres everything you need to know:

The converter is a Racing Edge 3800 Lock up. It will work perfect when the car is cold, under 150 degrees, but soon as it heats up, it will not lock at all, until it cools down. Doesn't throw any codes. Car runs perfect other than that. I've been thinking about changing my lock up solenoid, does anyone have any part #'s or how much it costs? Thanks.

I already mentioned it last time that it was not the misfire causing it. Do you want to spend more money before acknowledging it's transmission/converter related?

Re: converter problem even after tuning

I talked to a lot of different people, and they suggested it could be tuning related. I now know for sure it has something to do with the transmission/converter and i'm just trying to figure it out going down every possible idea. Does anyone have any positive input? I'm stumped.

If it locked up with the converter before this one, common sense would say it was the present converter. Call the people who made it and see what they say,or pull it and send it back.

Re: converter problem even after tuning

I forgot to metion i bought the converter used from my friend, worked perfect in his car. I also called the company, and they had no idea what to do about this problem. I just talked to a guy who had the same problem I am having, and he said it was the lock up solenoid harness. He said his had a crack in it and had to replace it. I'm trying to fing out how much it would cost.

Did it lock up before?
If so how did the harness magically go bad on a install of another converter?

I had a stock converter with 3.73 gears before I put this one in, so I never really noticed if it was locking before or not. On my stock converter, i couldn't tell. And yeah, it locked up perfect all the time on his car.

I just replaced the TCC solenoid with the harness and it still isn't locking correctly. Anyone have any other ideas?
