confirm LT1 blocks all the same?

All LT1 blocks are the same from F BODY, IMPALA, VETTES, ROADMASTER, ETC. right??

I am going to buy another motor from a scrap yard as a project motor and will just use my opti and specific 93 parts when I put it in.

Make sure you do not get a 4.3 block. They look exactly like an lt1 if im not mistaken. The block you want will say 327 on the side, while the 4.3 says 4.3 hope this helps

The 4.3L V8 was only offered in the Caprice sedan(police and civilian) LT1 was optional, VIN code "W", behind the driver's side head it will say 4300 as opposed to 5700 for the LT1.
Impala, Roadmaster wagon and sedan, Fleetwood or Caprice wagon are all standard LT1.
