Computer throwing EGR circuit code
Computer throwing EGR circuit code
Ever since I put my stroker in my computer has been throwing an EGR circuit code. I replaced the solenoid for the EGR and the valve is fine. I even took it off and cleaned all the carbon off of it. What else could be causing this?
Which code?
If its the one for the EGR solenoid, you need to check the wiring... perhaps you pinched or damaged it when you did the engine work. You should have +12V on the brown wire whenever the key is on. You should not have anything on the gray wire when checking it at idle, since the PCM grounds that wire to complete the circuit when the EGR solenoid is activated, and it isn't activated at idle. If you have +12V at the brown wire, you need to do a continuity test on the gray wire.
