computer code p1371A
I have a 96' z28. About 3 months ago I installed a new dist., plugs, plug wires, and did a general tune-up.
Car has K&N cold air induction. Granaldi mass air sensor, flowmaster exhaust and has the heads milled.
After i tuned up the car, it ran great with no problems untill last friday on my way home from the gym. The car just died while giong down the road. I got it started agian and got it home after it died a few more times and I had to restart it agian.
The comuter is showing a P1371A code-D1 low res circiut. I have changed the ICM and coil and still have same problem. Car will start and idle but as soon as you thottle up it dies and will intermitantly die while at idle.
Not shure where to go from here, worried it may be in the new optispark. any other sugestions?

P1371 means the PCM is losing the low res signal form the Optispark optical sensor. It must be an intermittent problem. When the PCM can't find the low res pulse, it shuts down the fuel sytem, and the engine dies. If it restarts, it would appear to confirm it is intermittent.
First place to look would be both ends of the Opti harness connector. Look for corrosion (often a gob of blue goo) or damaged pins in the connector. If the harness is OK, its likely to be the Opti itself.
