Compressor goes on and off
Compressor goes on and off
Hey all,
I tried to recharge my AC system today and i noticed that the compressor cycled on and off and then finally i didnt hear it cycle anymore. Does this mean its bad?
I also tok out the pcm bat fuse and hoped it would revive the compressor but it didnt.

Re: Compressor goes on and off
Where is the pressure control switch located?
I also noticed that freon was leaking out of the low side fitting... Not sure why that would happen though. Can the low side fitting go bad? If so, then can i replace that fitting?

Re: Compressor goes on and off
i think the low side you have to replace the hose unless the valve stem in there is all thats bad the pressure control should be on the high side line it will have an electrical connector going to it you can jump the connector to see if the comp will come on but dont leave it like that i would have to look at my 94 to remember how it goes
Re: Compressor goes on and off
I bought a kit from walmart and it came with a gauge. According to the guage i didnt over fill it, but i did notice that i had freon leaking from the valve.. I suspected i might have to replace the entire line.
