i bought my car with the AFR comp port 210cc heads with the 11.7:1 comp. since the motor is being rebuild the heads where surfaced just a lil bit so wouldn't that raise my comp just a little bit? also i'm runnin 14cc dish pistons so the motor shop showed me a chart with the 64cc combustion cambers on the AFR's and the 14cc dish pistons i'll only be running in between 10.5:1 or 11:1 could someone explain why it'd drop like that? the car did have the 14cc dish pistons in it before so would my comp drop that much with the dish of the pistons? thanks for the help
I come up with 10.37 with a 396,0 deck height,.039 head gasket,14CC dish piston,64CC heads
If it had 14CC dish piston's before it didn't have 11.7 to 1,with those 64CC chamber's
With a .022 head gasket it would be 10.79..All of this is with the block decked to .000.

With the .022 gasket you will be plenty plenty safe for pump gas, depending on the cam.If you would like,I will run your set up on my program and help you sellect a cam that will give you the HP you should have.Shoot me a PM.
