compression problem(LT1)

I was wondering which cylinder heads I should purchase for my 1994 camaro(LT1). my budget is about $1100.00. The shop who build the motor gave me the wrong heads back. when I cc the original head it was around 57 cc the other heads are 54cc. I want the compression to be around 11:1. I called summit, jegs and sce to find a gasket that would compress down to .061. jegs and summit told me to use sce. never used a copper head gasket could someone tell me the pro's and con's of a copper gasket, also could someone gave me some suggestions on how to achieve 11:1 or 2 compression.

hopefully this message is clear enough for your help.
the shop who build the motor is giving me a hard time in returning the heads

Thanks

Don't use a copper gasket on a street motor, they (always) seep.

I went with a Cometic MLS (Multi Layer Steel) head gasket, they are abit pricey. They offer several diffrent sizes. Make sure your builder gets a true and even head surface as they require a surface of 50 RA or finer for proper sealing as stated by cometic. Your builder will know what that means. You just doing heads and cam on a stock motor? If you are, felpro doesn't make a thinkness your looking for? Cometic is kinda over kill if she is a H+C car i think.

To "open"up the chambers, grind the protrusion around the exhaust valve.
I have done this with no ill effects, Make sure ya decrease the height and not the curve around the valve.
Ya can hit water there pretty easy from the small holes leading to the plugs. Ya might want to get a porter to do it.
56CC's and a "0" deck with a flattop piston,2 relief, will give about 11.6 and that's OK with a small cam(218/224@50 on a 112LSA & 108ICL).Larger cam will make the DCR less. Ya will need a tune for it and the DCR is cam dependant.
Open the chamber VS increasing quinch area with thicker gasket.
