I have darn near exactly what 95ramairta has except I have an alum. FW and 6" rods for that reason I bought the XFI280 really wanted the 292 but did not want to give up the midrange I would lose due to /alum FW. I got the dreaded beehive springs, keepers and rets. Aron the CC rep. was going to go pick the springs himself to be sure I got the new ones and assured me they will stand behind their product. BTW they have 3 techs investigating the 918 failures. I hope I am not disappointed with the 280, only time will tell. Danny Mc

Sorry but the thoughs of "midrange TQ" with a 242/248 113LSA cam makes me laugh. Sorry but the dyno numbers don't prove that. The XFI280 is a ten times better choice in that motor.

It depends what you want out of the cam, drivability, rpm range, ect.

Sounds just like the cam I have in my car now, great midrange and a 6500 RPM shiftpoint.

I believe I would choose the Hot Cam for a 350CI engine over the Crane cam you listed. Too small in both lift and duration.

Sorry but again I will have to disagree, over 400ft lbs from 2900-5400 is pretty good for 350 CI IMO!

So where is the dyno graph and track #'s (e.t. trap and raceweight?) And is your car N/A? I kinda noticed the Vortech in your sig...

Sorry sig is out of date, I will revise now, that was NA'ed. 414 on torque, 422 on power. 7.81 @ 93 on motor in 1/8th only been out one time on set up, engine has been together with this set up for about 8 weeks.

I am not trying to argue with you, but this is a very common debate about any cam and most of the time the answer is simply go custom. There is some great off the shelf cams out there and I have put this in my 350, and everything on up. Has responded awesome. You asked for some numbers and I have provided them.
