Comp. Trans Am
My buddy's uncle has a comp. trans am with the LT4 kit on it and ran 11.5 at the track. What all is different between the comp. trans am and a stock trans am or Z28? suspension and performance wise.

The comp t.a's had 315 horses I believe. They are heavy loaded cars so they shouldn't be much faster than other lt1 cars. They have high perf exhaust and a ram air setup. The suspension is also better.

Nothing there that really differentiates the Comp T/A from a WS6 T/A, performance wise.
OK. Now for the real stats on the Comp T/A's:
First, you have to start with a special order T/A with the following from Pontiac:
- V87S + Y82 Trans Am Coupe or T-Top
- Bright Silver Metallic Exterior - 13
- AQ9 Ultima Graphite Leather Buckets
- 1SA Option Package
- R6V Merchandising Option Code
- T43 Trans Am Spoiler
- GU5 Performance Axle (Automatics Only)
- QLC High Performance Tires
Then the car is shipped to SLP so they can add the following goodies to your ride.
- Uniquely-Styled composite Ram Air hood and cold air induction package
- Dark gray 10" wide center stripe
- Matching gray 'Comp T/A' headlamp door and wheel center cap graphics
- 3-Dimensional matching gray 'Comp T/A' door graphics
- 17 x 9.5-spoke Speedline alloy wheels
- BFG P275/40ZR17 Comp T/A performance tires
- Dual cast aluminum exhaust tips
- Sport Suspension Package (Std. with manual coupe, Opt. with auto., N/A with -Tops)
- Hurst Shifter with custom leather wrapped shift **** (N/A with auto)
- Heavy Duty embroidered 'Comp T/A' floor mats
- 'Comp T/A' numbered dash plaque (1 to 164) and Two(2) matching key fobs
- Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil and rear axle oil, semi-synthetic power steering lube and a premium synthetic media oil filter
For a few bucks more SLP will add:
- Sport Suspension Package (if you have an auto)
- BF Goodrich's Comp T/A ‘R1’ Competition series ultra performance tires mounted and balanced on an additional set of 'Speedline' wheels. This tire and wheel combination will improve 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile acceleration and handling significantly but will result in much harsher ride quality(stiffer side wall) and reduced tread life(10,000 miles) compared to the standard Comp T/A ZR tires.
- 2 on the left performance exhaust system
- Custom fit car cover with Comp T/A lettering, storage bag with Comp T/A lettering, cable and lock
