comp 304, worth it?
Re: comp 304, worth it?
Well your BRE/LE2 cam is specifically designed with the stock bottom end in mind for those specific heads. The guy I am buying heads from was revving his CC306 into the 6700's with a forged 355. No big worry, but I'm just wondering what folks with LE2 sized heads are revving a CC306 to and if they are surviving it and actually making power doing it.
I wont be going with a CC306 even though the heads have the springs for one. I'm in talks with Bret Bauer for something to match the heads numbers and still stay at or below 6500. Its going to be tricky, but I hope to hit the 400/400 and/or 11 second high teens mark stock bottom end through a stalled A4 and 10 bolt. ET and Trap is way more important than dyno numbers, but I wouldnt mind getting both.

Agreed, I'm no dyno queen either.. *all* that matters to me are track #'s.
But she still needs to rev to 6500-6600 or so... I guess doesn't *need* to, but it's where I'm going to take her too
I do have a friend who has a cc306 and GTP stage 2's on a stock shortblock and takes it up to 6700 with no problems.
I'm also looking for low 11's w/ my stall on a 10 bolt, we'll see. Going to take some suspensoin work, that's for sure.

What do you spin your CC306 to with those LE2's? Times/Dyno's?
