Re: cometic head gaskets

they'll be a good option for you then. They're the tri-metal like the stock LS1 headgasket. Very good for holding in boost and high chamber pressures like a nitrous motor.

I'm going to use them on the 95 with a 383 twin turbo setup.

If you use them the head and block deck prep must be right on - smooth and flat. If not, they will seep.

Do a search on Cometic and you'll find some fairly recent posts from those of us running them. No problems here...

What the good Doctor said is true.
My machinist decked my block with a finish for Felpro 1074's.
I decided to switch to Cometics without consulting him about the change and the gaskets seeped oil on the engine stand just by turning the motor over by hand.

Luckily I caught it and switched back to the Felpro's before installing the engine. It never seeped again.

The comestics are awesome I am using them on my new 355. They are expensive but, they pay from themselves cause you can reuse them.

I have them. My engine builder specified them in the build of my 383. 12.8:1 comp and a 200 shot
