Exclamation Cold power steering pump not working?

I've begun to notice since its gotten cold that my power steering pumpwon't work when I slow down to turn a corner. It only does it until the car warms up. Any ideas? The belt is good, but I still haven't checked the fluid level yet. Maybe thats the problem?

Go to your local GM dealer. They make a specific "cold weather" power steering fluid that will help. I'll get the part # off the can when I get home.

Thank you. Any easy way to drain the pump reservoir?

My camaro would do that whenever I had to make turns at full lock and it ended up being a bad pump...on the other hand my wrangler did that when it got real cold and that was because of the crappy fluid in there.

It sounds like in your case it is just the fluid if it only does it while its cold.
