hey whats up everyone my 1993 z28 has missing and hesitiation and i think it could be the coil. it has new fuel filter,wires,plugs.(100,000 miles tune up) wwhen u lift the hood there is arching coming from the coil itself and when i rev the engine the lights flicker. the car sometimes misses at above 5,000 rpm and it seems like i have to give it a lot more gas to get it off the line and the lights dim? car is also running rich. do you think its most likely a bad coil as its 10 years old w/118,000 miles w/ these symptoms? thank guys

 

Cold be your coil, or it could be a wire arcing, but you said you seen the coil arcing, so that is a good guess, they are only 35 dollars for a msd coil so not to much to fix

 

If you are seeing an arc, you are losing spark energy. Pinpoint the source of the arc and repair or replace.
