Codes P1416 and P1657?

Hey i have a 1997 Z28 and i am throwing these 2 codes. I just wanted to know if any of you guys had the problem with the same codes and if so what did you do to fix it. I think the 1416 is the air pump and i think the 1657 is the skip shift. Please Help

Code 1416 is for Air System Bank 2 which essentially means during the DTC Test Bank 2 failed to respond as expected. I am going to assume you have a stock exhaust system. I would first check the plumbing from the air pump to the passenger side exhaust manifold for any leaks or kinks. You could clear the code and it may not come back could have been a fluke with the O2's during warm up. As for 1657 you are correct it is the skip shift control circuit. This could be caused by a malfunctioning solenoid, you have disconnected the solenoid, or other wiring problems. I would first check the connection to the solenoid at the trans. It is located top drivers side of trans about mid position. Hope this helps a little

Thanks

Yeah about the air pump i havent been able to check anything due to the weather over here. But i am assuming that he missed something because at one point i had removed my airpump but i put it back on. Can the 1416 code have anything to due with removing the cats? //// As for the skip shift code i think i know the problem with that too. I put the skip shift elimnator on there but it is the one for the Corvette LT1 not the Camaro so i am thinking that is what is throwing that code , i mean it works but maybe its sending the wrong signal to the computer therefore making that code come up. But i am not sure this is just my guesses. Thanks for your help. If anyone else has ever had these problems feel free to post something.
