Code question

Did a scan on my Z and found two codes. 77 which is the fan circuit relay and 18 which is the code for injector circuit. However on the readout (freescan) it said code #18 - not used; Any chance this would be programmed out when the dyno was done??? If not then why does it say - not used - ?
Thanks

Re: Code question

Its probably a manufacturer specific code, meaning you need the GM scantool chip or a GM manual to see what it is. I could probably tell you what the code is, but my books are back at my apartment.

Re: Code question

You can find a pretty accurate list of codes for our cars here.

18 is used.

Re: Code question

I know what the code is for - #18 is listed as injector circuit. What I don't understand is why is it listed on the freescan monitor exactly like this:
18 - not used. If it is used then why this message and if it is an injector circuit problem why this message? Also, if it is an injector circuit problem exactly what does that mean?

Re: Code question

Seems like it's a Freescan issue. It means the PCM sees an improper voltage on one or more of the injectors. Check the injector wiring with a meter and check the resistance of the injectors.
