Question Code 84?? What's it mean??

I got my cable from AKMcables yesterday and when I plugged my T/A in today everything looked good except it had "Code 84 3-2 downshift feedback fault (odm)" in the list of trouble codes. What exactly does this code mean, and what should I do to fix it?? Thanks for any help.

Not sure where you got that code explanation and I assume your car is an M6, because the code is for the skip shift solenoid. Check it's connection or bypass if you have one.

I got the code from FreeScan. Yeah my car is an M6, but I have the skip shift disabled at the PCM so I guess that's where that's coming from?? Never thought of that. Thanks.

If you "disable" (= disconnect) skip shift on the OBD-I cars, the SES light will not come on but DTC 84 will set in the PCM. You need the resistor across the wires to eliminate the code.
