CODE 83 what its it, how do i fix it
my scanmaster is reading code 83 in my 94 lt1.
friends say its somethign to do with the converter. i have a 3000 stall? and i just did a cam swap, bigger cam program and i got this code. what does it mean.

According to my Haynes manual, Code 83 is defined as "Reverse Inhibit System" (manual Trans, 5.7L0 "Vehicle must be operating under 4mph to allow reverse selection." Doesn't sound like it's your problem if it's for maunual trans... Sorry.

It has somthing to do with your torque converter clutch, either its not locking up or its staying locked up when you brake or somthing else. Im not sure what PWM means, mabye, pulse width modulation? The 4L60E does pulsewith modulate the accumulator pistons, is could be somthing to do with that.
