code 44

what would cause my car to throw a code 44? I think is means the left bank is lean.

You might try looking for any exhaust leaks.

I threw a Code 44 (and Code 64) when my oxygen sensors took a dump.

You might have burned one of your O2 sensor wires on that side. Make sure they aren't touching the header or y-pipe.

I did have an exhaust leak but I fixed it and it still throws the code. Both o2 sensors were replaced last summer but I don't know if the used cheap-o ones. I'll check to see if it may have burt through the wire. thanks
