Any ideas.. Car is hard to start now and it will run with ses lights on and throws codes 36 and 42. Any ideas? is it possible that the opti drive pin is indexed wrong??? however if it was, would the car ever run smoothly? On the initial startup, it ran smooth for a few minutes till i turned it off. any ideas?

 

Make sure the opti harness was plugged in well?

update::// ok .. very weird. Just went home on lunch... decided i'd try to remove the opti harness connector on the opti side and check the terminals. They looked ok... however i cleaned them the best i could and plugged it back in and the car started(a bit of a hard start), but ran fine with no codes. I turned it off and restarted it multiple times and no codes.. it was starting a bit lazy, the last start seemed ok... new harness?

 

Back to the drawing board.. Any ideas? Still getCode 36. Car will run but will backfire sometimes and almost die sometimes.... etc etc

The problem started after punching it on the thruway. The car chugged and felt like i hit a brick wall then died. Could this brand new opti be defective?
