Code 29, Questions AFTER Forum Search
I'm getting an error code 29.

Okay, now my questions. What is an AIR pump!? What does it do?
I too am having some very minor low-end power loss. Also, anytime I select something on the far dial (A/C, defrost, etc.), my car stutters. Could these symptoms be a result of the problem represented by code 29?
There is no need to offer suggestions on the low-end power loss. Only on the code 29, please.
Thanks!

My mechanic forgot to put the secondary AIR system back into my rebuild. That may explain why it is not running well. Does anybody have a picture from the top of the motor looking down that details the connections and routing from the exhaust manifolds (now I have shorty headers) to the AIR pump?

If you replace the fuse, and it continues to blow, just unplug the AIR pump connector, replace the fuse and the SES light will not return. There is a factory recall on the 95 and newer AIR pumps.

The AIR pump is bolted to the drivers side/front of the engine. It pulls air from a nipple on the intake ducting, and blows it into a connection on the top of each exhaust manifold. The pumps runs for about 3 minutes at startup to help the cats heat up.

So, you don't think it has anything to do with either of my symptoms? By the way, I don't have a cat if that matters.
Edit: Or, might that be a possible cause of the code?
Re: Code 29, Questions AFTER Forum Search
The missing cat will not set DTC 29. The only thing checked before setting DTC 29 is the integrity of the power supply circuit.
A faulty AIR system will not cause the problems you are having, at least not directly. If you had faulty check valves where the AIR system connects to the exhaust manifolds, it might cause problems. Leaking check valve could cause the pump to corrode, sieze and blow the fuse.
Sounds like you have a vacuum problem. Moving the A/C controls uses the vacuum system. That could be related to a leak in the vacuum system for the controls.
