i ahve seen the IC code pop up sometimes when there is an issue with the IGN system. the IC ciurcut comes from the computer on teh white wire to the ICM. it should carry verying voltage to tell the ICM when to fire. you might wanna clear the code and see if it resets. I'm wonding if the ICM could be going bad

ICM. Ignition control module, it's mounted to teh drivers side head near the coil. what exactly did he tie into and what do you mean you ran a wire to the coil?

we could not figure out which wire to splice into to make the shift lite work. i mean it had power but the wire that let it read the rpm's. and in the instructions it said that you could hook it up somehow to the coil. i dont have the insructions on me but i know the shift lite works now. but i am wondering if that has something to do with why it is doing this?
