COAN stall question

has anyone used a coan stall? are they any good?

i know that 94 z-28's have trouble with stalls higher than 3200, but would reprogramming the pcm help? or will the problem still exist even after the reprogramming?

thanks

Some people say it can be fixed w/ programming. Might check into pcmforless.com, I think they have a fix.

As for the converter itself, why is the Coan so frickin' expensive?!..... for less it seems you could get a Vigilante, which is a proven converter w/ solid reliability.

I have a coan 3500 that works great It flashes up to 3500 like its supposed too, and it locks and unlocks nice and smooth. FWIW, my buddy has a coan 4000 stall in his 86 camaro, he runs 9.80's consistently, and has for about 3 years. The stall has given him no problems.
