well the slipping started up again. my clutch was slipping in high gear(usually 4th,5th,and 6th at about 2500rpms) when i floored it. it did it for about a week or 2 a couple months ago an then stop(i think car was broken for a couple months). well about 3 weeks ago it started again. my clutch grabbs like a champ 1st through 3rd if i get on it, but if i'm just cruising at low rpms in 4th through 6th and floor it a little it slipps. but if i floor it till it slipps an then let of an then floor it again it sticks??? So i did a search for this on the board for about an hour and found very little on my paticular issue. but i did read something about maybe the input shaft seal being bad and it dripping a tiny bit of oil??? not sure about that, but anways i need some help so any you guys can give me will be great.

 

Mine acted a lot like the same way when I had about 87K miles on the stock clutch. It slowly and steadily got worse and worse. And then I got some Nitto DRs put on and that pretty much killed it after that. Week or two later I was putting in the Spec stage II.

If it's any consolation to you, mine is acting exactly the same and I have an Lt4 plate and a stock disk. Replaced the clutch once due to an intake leak. At that point the plate was warped so I put in a Lt4 plate, had the flywheel surfaced, the disk relined and replaced the rear main seal. A second oil leak from the pan ruined the disk and I cleaned up everything and had the disk relined again. If it is, indeed, oil again this time, it pretty well has to be the transmission front seal. I ordered a Mcleod disk to try out but due to protracted hassles with the internet co. that never sent the disk I finally just gave up unitil I got the credit card B.S. straightened out. When I finally get into it again, I'll let everybody know what I find. I guess I should say that this car isn't raced at all. Anybody know a good place to get a Mcleod Kevlar disk that will actually send it?
