Clunking when I shift into first when not moving?

With the clutch pedal down and shifting from neutral into first at a stand still you hear a clunk or moving sound in the tranny. If you stay on the clutch and move out of first and you bring it back out to neutral or to second and back it doesnt make noise.

Any idea? I do have the Pro 5.0 so it is a little noisy anyway.

Is this noise more of a clunk, or a grinding? the clunk sounds like unhappy syncros, a grinding is not a good sign either. try double clutching and then going into first, still get a noise? Do you get this noise all the time.

Its more of a clunck, I dont get the noise all the time though, just the first time I put I the car into first after its started up. After that its fine, I can go in and out of it with the clutch still in with no noise.

If its a clunking, it may the 1st gear syncro, starting to show age. Every now and again i have a similar clunk and it only happens once.
