Cleaning Fouled Spark Plugs
Cleaning Fouled Spark Plugs
Anyone ever had any luck cleaning fouled spark plugs? I've got some plugs that are very carbon fouled. Can I clean them or should I just buy new ones. I've got a few sets like this.
Re: Cleaning Fouled Spark Plugs
I suggest just replacing #1 (or the easiest one to get to) with a new plug double checking the gap and watching it for awhile and at the same time making certain that the rest of your electrical system is good as well as your fuel system and A/F.
If it continues to foul, systematically try to eliminate the problem before you do all the rest of the plugs.JMHO

Re: Cleaning Fouled Spark Plugs
I'd say spend the $15 max and get a new set of NGK-TR55's. Make sure the gap is set at .05. This way you know all of them are good to go with no carbon build up. Also figure out when you are fouling up the plugs. Just my .02
