Does anyone know if a dirty mass air flow sensor will cause my problem?

Figures. When it's warm outside, I'll connect one of my incline manometers across the filter and do a before/after test at several RPM's to see how much pressure drop I get with the old and stock new filter.

Like I said, it's an experiment. If I've been gradually losing HP I can't tell, so maybe I'll get a nice surprise when I change it. I wondered why it won't endlessly smoke all four tires, that must be the problem.

Mine would hesitate real bad at about 3/4 throttle. This only happened in open loop mode for the first couple of minutes after startup. After cleaning the MAF, problem solved. If it's never been cleaned it should be done anyway. Give it a shot. You may also want to check your TPS sensor.

I usually clean mine about once a year not because it needs it but just for peace of mind. I have been using a Quick drying electrical cleaner that I found at radio shack with good results. They also sell a similar cleaner at Autozone that is usually located by the throttle body cleaner.

Every time that I clean my MAFS I usually have just a small amount of gray film on the front side of the wires.
