choosing a fuel pump & dyno tune Q's????

What is the best after market fuel pump to go with?? Summit has a Granitelli 255l for $90. Should I get this one or a Racetronics? It is for a Monster H/C- stock cube car.
If the car is going in for a dyno tune in a couple weeks shouldn't I have a fresh fuel pump in there, over the original stock one? What else should I do to get it ready for a dyno tune?
Thanks
Steve

Go with the Racetronix, ALL the available intank pumps for this application are basically the same Walbro, Racetonix just goes the extra mile to make it fit best and get the relay kit with it. After making my own relay setup and spending nearly what theirs cost I needed a new pump and got their harness with it and regret even trying to build my own complete waste of money and effort, the Racetronix one is a great value.

Racetronics all the way. Very impressive setup with the hotwire harness.

You could just get the Walbro pump alone, but it isn't made specifically for our application and you would have to discard the factory fuel pump housing to be able to run it properly. Many have done this without problems, but alot of people don't recommend it. Do a search to find out the pros and cons of doing this, it's been covered a few times.

And definitely get the new pump in before the dyno tune. No point in fine tuning you car with parts that may be starting to fail and then replacing them after.

So you bought the the GSS340 kit? Just wondering how you got the pump to seal the bottom of the bucket properly and how you used the walbro filter sock on the stock pump housing.

I'm not certain that the Racetronics pump for our cars is a Walbro, it is a 255 pump..notice on their site it does not say Walbro like the other model cars, for LT1 cars it says dealer replacement....and you do have to modify the bucket by removing a couple of ribs to make it fit correctly...real easy to do.

Walbro is pretty much the industry standard for intank pumps, believe they are even factory on some of the Vettes.

By "dealer item" I believe they are telling you to order it though one of their dealers rather than from them since it is likely theit hottest selling kit all their dealers would be expected to stock it.

If you look under the yellow text about the warranty.
"The Walbro pumps used in our LT1 kits are not standard issue Walbro pumps."
