check gauge light comes on at wot
Re: check gauge light comes on at wot
Most likely your TPS sensor, you're probably maxing out the voltage on the TPS, go outside with a volt meter, with key in ignition press the throttle to WOT & see the voltage, shouldn't exceed 4.5 or so volts.

When the check gages light comes on are any of the gauges acutally giving unusual readings, such as low oil pressure? Right beforei had to rebuild my engine mine did that - check gages would flicker at WOT and it was becuase my oil pressure was so <10 lbs.

Yes... if its really the "check gauges" light, it has nothing to do with the PCM, TPS, scanning, etc. Read your dash gauges for an indication.... oil pressure falling off, belt slipping and voltage falling off, excessive coolant temp, etc....
Re: check gauge light comes on at wot
Correct me if I'm wrong but like Injuneer said , wouldnt the Missfire, or TPS out of range throuw a Check engine light, not a check gauges?
