Question Check engine and both fans...

Hey guys:

Can anyone tells me what this means. Just started the car for the first time in 4 months. Started fine, ran fine. After about 20 minutes though, I heard both fans kick in, even though the motor temp was only at a quarter, and the engine light came on.
Seemed to drive the same.
Any one make an sense of that.

Thanks for your help.

Check your low coolant sensor.

I have had that sensor go bad in the past as well, and the low coolant light comes on then.

The low coolant sensor is not even connected to the PCM. The most common problem with the SES light and both fans coming on is the AIR pump fuse.... but it would be odd for that one to come on after 20 minutes of running.

No substitute for a "scan".

Corvettes and F-Bodies are different. The low coolant sensor is wired to the dash light in the F-Body, not the PCM.
