Re: cheapest place for optispark replacement

for your 96?

cheapest place is also the best, look here http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#Dal_and_Jason , can probably get a new GM one(complete) for around $240, that is probably about what you would pay for any parts store one+ cap as well

one thing, just to be safe, pull the cap off when you get it, make sure the rotor screws are tight

Re: cheapest place for optispark replacement

hate to say this but you should really get the cheapest GM optispark replacement. I bought the cheap ebay one and it didn't fit right, had to wait for a refund, had the tear motor down twice.. get one to last.

I wouldn't go with a cheap one. Aftermarket has thrown my timing off!

Re: cheapest place for optispark replacement

Does anyone want to try a group purchase? WHat kind of deal could we get on a delco unit? I was thinking of a delco opti with an accel cap and rotor, but, i guess would have to at least get the opti for 200 before the cap, lol.
