also by removing the spare tire and jack,I lost 38lbs.Seems to help a little, but I belong to auto club.My02( some members say they get an extra 2 hp,just by runnung full synthetic motor oil).

Agree from messing with these cars a lot..cold air probably first with good filter.Pulleys definitely work.I seemed to get some additional vibes though from the cheaper asp pulleys in my 97 ta
so this time will buy the harmonic balancer type for the 96z.
Catback don't do that much but can make it sound much better.Might get 10hp though over the cheaper exhuast on some of the cars.
A cutout works good and will give some power.
I had pretty noticeable good luck with gms mafs on my lt1 ,they don't seem to do much on my ls1.Airfoil quick but likely not very noticeable in lt1s seem to work well in the tpi cars.
Biggest noticeable mods in auto cars are a decent stall converter and of course gears make a big diff.I will for sure be getting rid of my super lame 2.73 gears in my 96z for some 3.42 or possible 3.73 gears. Not much else for cheap mods..160stats,tb bypass,
52 tb..dont really do much but a little bit here and there can still add up in the end.
For really noticeable diff you need the hard core stuff.
cam,heads,headers or of course nitrous,supers or turbos/strokers.
Also depending on miles don't understimate the power of a good tuneup. New plugs and wires..for sure do new fuel filter, air filter,
I would change out 02 also depending on when they were last done..clean maf.maybe try seafoam stuff..clean injectors.Oh yeah also cats can clog up and restrict things ..check them out or eliminate sway them for new or high flow versions.
And synthetics are supposed to give 5 to 10hp I think saw max if used in rear, tranny and engine.I like amsoil personally but its pricey.Redline seems good too and is usually more available.
Oh also as your mods increase a good tuning program or programming tools can give some power increases..tunercat..
maf translators..hpp?? etc..
