Re: cheap shaft mount rockers?

Jesel makes an "economy" shaft rocker setup for about $650. But the people who tried them (K Mook was one) didn't like them.

scroggins dickey sells jessel ss series shaft mounts, i have no experience with them so i cant really recommend them. if you know what part number you need with the 227's sdpc probably sells it even if it isnt listed just use the search function, or call em.

Re: cheap shaft mount rockers?

Do a search on "Jesel" or on user name "kmook". I know he had some problems with them, but it was a couple years ago and I can't remember specifically. He doesn't seem to post much any more.

Re: cheap shaft mount rockers?

AFR 227s have a 60/40 valve spacing and require a specific P/N for them. You can not use the SS series Jesels. Have to use the next step up, some T&Ds or some Crowers.

Re: cheap shaft mount rockers?

Ya can also use stud mounted RR's. They will sit at an angle to the head like a TFS head on a Ford.

Re: cheap shaft mount rockers?

From what I understand if you want to use a stud mount your best choices is to buy some .150 offset Isky's. $200 for a set of 8 .150 offset and $200 for set of 8 standard.
